When you are evaluating sources, what should you consider? This series of quests asks you to investigate the important elements, including authority and bias, both the author's and your own.
The aggregation of information on sites like BuzzFeed and the Huffington Post, known as a "listicle", is a relatively recent phenomenon in which we place much of our trust in journalists and algorithms to do most of the work deciding what information is credible or not.
Imagine that you have been asked to curate a list of the “Ten Best Sources” on a topic of your choice or one you are working on for a school or work project. Make a list of these sources and then write a brief reflection on where the sources came from, why you chose them over other sources, and what makes them authoritative. You may choose to include the reflection at the end of the list, or you can write your submission in listicle form, providing your reflection and commentary after each listed source.
