Having a roadside tool kit with useful items is useful, especially for longer trips. The Metacycle can't allow someone to ride all day and was designed to be almost maintenance-free, thanks to the hub motor instead of using a traditional chain, belt, or shaft drive. Even so, you may want to know what tools are necessary to perform specific actions.

• 5 mm Allen wrench - seat

• T40 Torx wrench - battery cover

• T50 Torx wrench - battery brackets

In addition to the tools above, having these extras may help you in case you get stuck somewhere.

• Tire patch kit

• Wire cutter or knife - in case the alarm module fails

• Zip ties

• Vice grips - acts as several small wrenches, can be an emergency brake lever
