This programming cable is used to program the controller either through the Metacycle's USB port or using the 20-pin Molex cable behind the display.
There's no need to install a driver with this adapter, at least for Windows 10. The default driver from Microsoft is the one that should be used.
When communicating, this operates at 115200 baud.
VOTOL EM200-2SP Programming Cable
Amazon, AliExpress, and eBay have these. You will need to modify the cable so it is able to plug in correctly. Make sure to get the one that looks like this image - with the black band, which is just electrical tape wrapped around the device.
The cable is compatible with these other models. However, the list appears to get some things slightly off, so these have been matched against the manufacturer's website and those models are in parenthesis when there's a difference.
EM50-4P (EM50-4)
EM80GTSP (there are two versions - this cable only supports the version that uses CAN)
EM100-4P (incorrectly listed and manufacturer lists another cable; EM100SP uses this cable)
EM150-2SP
EM200-2P (EM200-2SP)
EM260P (EM260SP)
EM350P (not on manufacturer's site; might be SV120 with 350 A, which uses the same cable)
Only the H (Data +) and L (Data -) pins are required to be connected. The positive and negative wires are taped off so they can't make contact with any other wire.
The pins are labeled on the bottom.
Make sure you use the correct cable. Both of these cable lists are provided by the manufacturer. The Votol EM200-2SP site clearly indicates that we want the blue adapter with the black band around it.
