although more of an introvert, nathan spends a lot of his free time around others. he prefers it this way; distracting himself to avoid the memory of a car crash that took the life of his mother and sister a few years ago. when he isn't passed out at a house party or sleeping through his first two classes, he likes to work with his hands -- pottery, sculpture, and mechanics especially. he's a pretty polarizing person and doesn't reveal much about himself to those he isn't extremely close with -- and even then, it's hard to get the deepest things out of him. in order to protect himself, he has put up lots of walls, but that doesn't stop him from being a solid person towards those he cares about. he is level-headed and resourceful and has a good head on his shoulders, but has a hard time being vulnerable and facing his problems, which leads others to be very polarized in their opinion of him. not many people know him properly, but those who do are able to see a caring and dependable side of him that he often doesn't show... as long as it doesn't involve cars. he was born with the ability to manipulate light, and often uses it to turn himself and other things invisible.
