jasmine

jasmine, often shortened to just j, works in her family's metalworking business, particularly on the swordsmithing side of things, and hops from school to school as her family travels for their clients. she is based in the same city as kaz but grew up on the other side of the world, and their families have been friendly for several generations. she is an easygoing, bubbly person who enjoys spending time with others and is an avid fan of alternative fashion, pineapple on pizza, and extreme shopping. sometimes she wishes she had a more established "home", as she never got to properly settle down anywhere due to the nomadic nature of the family. she thinks that if this had been the case, she would've developed a stronger sense of self, one that didn't rely on material goods and service to others and was instead able to tie itself to values that weren't constantly being uprooted and moved. she feels a little bit like a plant that keeps getting relocated to different parts of a garden -- happy, but not exactly able to properly get used to any particular place. everything is fleeting to her, but she has grown accustomed to this kind of life and is determined to make the most out of it. she is a joyful and energetic person who brings life to any kind of gathering and unites people of all backgrounds. she is also a great friend and is full to the brim with compassion.
