During this course I believe that ai have worked on the skill of becoming a connected learner. The idea behind being a connected learning is deepening ones knowledge of the ISTE standards in ordet to meet these standards when teaching studnets. Another importnat part of being a connected learning is particpation in learning. By activley participating in sharing goals with other educators we cna grow grofessionally.
In the social media discussion that we completed in this course, we focused on participation in. shared learning strategies. By reading previous literature that discusses the impacts of social media integration in education, we were able to have a class discussion on what we found to be important to note from the article as well as our own thoughts on social media in the classroom. This experience allowed me to develop my own ideas and principles for including social media in my class while reading about how others interpret the meaning of social media in education. This activity encompasses what it means to be a connected learner.
