Classroom resolutions provide our representatives with an opportunity to take a stand on many political, social, and economic issues that face our nation today.
During weeks 2-5 of the semester, students will begin to develop their own political identity and thus, declare as a member of the Republican or Democratic Party.
The following activities are used as supplemental resources when learning about our nation's parties and their values.
When each committee has members that have determined their own political identity, Party Declaration Day is held. Each student will complete a notecard and give a brief speech declaring their most important values and the political party they declare a member of.
These notecards are placed on a spectrum that will confirm the majority and minority parties heading in to Committee Hearings and Full Session.
