Critical Evaluation of an Operations Manager Job Role from a Job Advert and a Reflective Analysis.

This paper comprises TWO parts.

PART A - Reflective Analysis 

The paper aimed at providing adequate information from a reflective nature on the author's journey of self-discovery of the knowledge or lack thereof of negotiation as a skill.

In this regard, an attempt was made to develop an understanding on the subject and nature of the term “negotiation”, the things to know in an attempt to become a better negotiator from both a theoretical and practical perspective. The report also seeks to utilize the understanding of the author's strengths and weakness towards the application of the skills required in being a good negotiator.

PART B – Report 

The Job Description for an Operation Manager’s position was examined, which attempted to identify the possible operational challenges for the operations manager's role with Ralph Lauren, Maasmechelen. It also seeks to discuss the likely operational challenges that the prospective Ralph Lauren's operations manager would face, and the possible ways that such challenges could be resolved to meet the objective of the  organization.

The advert for an Operation Manager’s role was obtained from LinkedIn (Included as an Appendix to this Report).
