The assessment's aim is to critically evaluate the application of leadership theories to a leader in an organizational context (e.g. a company of your choice) and management theories to a contemporary organization. In other to achieve this , the author assessed two different outcomes:

1. Critically evaluated the development of leadership and management theories from its inception till today.

2. Critically appreciated the nature of leadership and management theories and their application in a range of leadership and management settings.

The example of Martin Luther King Jnr was used to exemplify the leadership theories while an electricity utility company - BEDC Electricity was used for evaluating the management theories.
