Clever has made the login really easy.
Ask students to click "managed bookmarks" and then "Clever" and then ask them to log in and select "McGraw Hill"
They will select your class and go to the assignment you select.
For some students, Clever does not work.
Ask those students to go here: https://my.mheducation.com/login
You will need to reset their password.
Go here (see fig. 1): https://my.mheducation.com/secure/teacher/urn:com.mheducation.openlearning:enterprise.identity.organization:prod.global:organization:94345fd2-928a-4fff-9aee-1876c407be8a/home
Click "classroom actions" and then "manage class roster".
Find the student you need to reset and click on the three dots under "actions".
Select "Print Temporary Password"
Encourage the student to use their SLPS password.

The worst part about Achieve 3000 is the level set.
I would encourage you to expect to burn a whole day on it.
Get students logged in and make sure they don't fall asleep.
During the last 5 minutes, tell them to "Finish it no matter what". You are telling them to click through.
You cannot save a level set. It needs to be done in a day.
Achieve 3000 is trying to get students to complete 2 articles a week to show growth.
To do that, they have populated your page with many, many articles that may have nothing to do with what you are doing.
To remove their articles, follow this path:
"Lesson Planning"
"Collection Building"
Now, unassign all the collections and wait about 5 minutes. They should all be removed.
I would spend most of your time on the articles marked "5-Step Lesson"
You need to model how to complete a 5 step lesson as your first use of A3K after the Level Set.
I tell them to put effort into each part because A3K's 5 step lessons model good reading:
Lecture: teach the skill they will be using.
Preview the writing section and provide word banks and writing starters/stems.
Ready: preview the material.
Read: use vocabulary and highlight important things related to the writing prompt.
Respond: Get better than 80%
Reflect: solidify your knowledge by reflecting
Write: complete all parts of the prompt and do not cheat or use AI, it is obvious.
Encourage students to discuss the article after reading.
Achieve 3000 grading is clunky.
Click your name.
Click "Reports"
Click "Student Work"
I use "My Lessons", "Respond" (multiple choice), and "Write". I don't grade the other sections.
I use a tracker to grade. See figure 2.
"No Score" is suspected AI.....AI is a problem in A3K.

Fluency: https://cdn.achieve3000.com/assets/content/docs/KB/f/FLUENCY_GUIDE.pdf
They have articles for you to use for running records.
There are also Phonics lessons and reading strategy lessons under a subcategory called "Word Studio". See the "Phonics and Word Study Lessons" and "Comprehension Lessons" for their names. See figure 3.
Adelina Blood used the Word Studio lessons as a "decodable". A decodable is a lesson that contains a specific phoneme more than others to help students practice. The articles are leveled for students from the Level Set, which is nice to hold interest and build reading skills.
