Prophet Yusuf

Prophet Yusuf was the son of Prophet Yaqub
He had 11 brothers, and was one of the youngest.
He dreamt that 11 stars and the sun and moon bowed to him. He told his father and this was a sign of Prophet Yusuf’s greatness. He was not to tell any of his brothers.
Prophet Yusuf’s brothers were jealous that he was getting more attention, and decided they wanted to get rid of him.
They asked their father if Yusuf could go along with them to graze their goats and finally at the age of 16, Yusuf had permission to go along.
Once they reached a dry well, they removed Yusuf’s shirt and pushed him down the well.
When they arrived home, they told their father that a wolf had eaten Yusuf. As evidence, they slaughtered a goat and used its blood to put on Yusuf’s shirt. Their father did not believe them.
A caravan was stopped in the area to get some water, and they hid him in their merchandise and eventually sold him to a slave trader.
Prophet Yusuf arrived in Egypt. The Aziz(Governor of Egypt) and his wife offered to adopt Yusuf as their son
To save his wife’s reputation, The Aziz placed Prophet Yusuf in jail
Yusuf preached the religion of Allah to the other two people in the cell.
The king of Egypt had an absurd dream that was worrying him. He approached Yusuf to determine the meaning and significance of his dream.
The King was impressed with Prophet Yusuf and made him The Aziz of Egypt.
Yusuf’s brothers arrived in Egypt, but did not recognize him
When the brothers returned to Egypt, they brought the youngest brother Binyameen. Prophet Yusuf let all his brothers stay at his house, and revealed his identity to only Binyameen.
Yusuf tried to frame Binyameen of stealing the king’s gold cup, so that he wouldn’t leave, but the oldest brother, Yahuda, stayed back with him.
When Prophet Yaqub ordered his sons to return to Egypt to get their brothers, Yusuf admitted his true identity.
The family was reunited in the end
