  1. It is very important to memorize Surah Fatiha, sayings during Ruku, Sujood and while sitting (At-Tahiyat + Durood Ibrahimi). Please note that this is a requirement to pass the grade (we have discussed this many times during the classroom)
  2. As before, keep up the effort with both Dua's (March and April + May).
  3. Record in your own voice the translation of Surah Fatiha (as discussed in the classroom for the past 2 weeks) and listen to it repeatedly. It will make it easy for you to memorize.

  3. The presentation for "My favorite Masjid" project went very well. All students of Grade 4 joined us for the presentation as well. This week, the winner and runner-up will be announced and will be given prizes in the classroom.

  1. Complete homework at the end of chapter 23: My Mind, My Body.
  2. Hopefully everybody will have the dua of Jan and its translation memorized. There will be a surprise oral quiz in the month of February about this dua. Start memorizing dua of Feb which is now posted at the bottom of this page.
  3. We will have a presentation for the project on "My favorite Masjid" in the classroom. Each presenter will be given 3-5 minutes to talk about their work. You can show pictures to explain your points. Either paper-based or electronic (MS PowerPoint) is acceptable. If you have electronic presentation, please save it on the USB drive and bring it with you. You can also email the presentation to me (please do so by Saturday 5.00 PM latest).

  1. Practice role-playing all rituals of Hajj. You need to pretend that you are going for Hajj. This means you would need to know how to wear your Ihram, do tawaf, sa'ee, going to Mina, Arafat, Muzdalfa and Jamarat. Also, cutting of hair and performing sacrifice. You would demonstrate in the classroom all these rituals with full details. You don't have to memorize all dua's but make sure you know the "Talbiya".
