Primary Objectives
The objectives of this project are to:
• Understand the significance of conducting usability tests as a vital research technique, and the value it brings in enhancing the user experience.
• Develop and refine my skills in executing effective usability tests, thereby gaining a deeper understanding of the users and their preferences.
• Create a repository of valuable insights and observations, which will be utilized in future projects to design more user-friendly websites and apps.
• Photograph and document the usability testing process and results to create a comprehensive portfolio highlighting my expertise and experience in usability testing.
For this project I observed two usability tests noting down the relevant information that could be pulled from the sessions related to the case study.
Tasks
The following are the tasks for this project:
Review the recordings of two usability tests, depending on the chosen path, which may be for desktop or mobile devices. The links to access the usability test recordings are provided on the left side of the document.
Take comprehensive and detailed notes during the usability tests. Avoid transcribing everything the user says and does; instead, focus on identifying the participant's goals, behaviors, context, positive interactions, and pain points.
Conclude the project by summarizing and presenting the main points learned from the usability tests, highlighting the significant insights and key takeaways that can be applied to future projects.
