Game Jams and others

Some highlighted game jams and other projects I've partaken in. More can be found on my Itch.io page: https://smolwolfis.itch.io/

Root Rancher

2023 | Game Jam Project | Unreal 5

Teamed up with five programmers to participate in the Global Game Jam 2023. The theme was Roots - our game takes place in a ranch where the player uses a rope lasso to capture roaming root vegetables in order to complete food orders.

I was the 3D artist/ UI designer of the group - I was involved in creating 3D assets (modelling environments/ vegetables and rigging animations for the characters) and the UI design.

2022 | Group Project | App Design

Taking part in the 2022 cohort for GloW-Design Gel-Lab Design Studio, a  global creative think tank initiative; I was teamed up with several individuals from all around the world from different disciplines to complete a set creative brief for the client.

With the theme "Genius Loci", we designed a mock-up for a family-oriented cookbook app that collects recipes from all around the world where families can cook global recipes and learn about their local cultures/ history.

Lost (and found!)

2021 | Game Jam Project | Boat Minigame

I teamed up with the same members of my student team from the Professional Projects module, to take part in the Global Game Jam 2021. This game was also done remotely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The theme was Lost and Found - our game was about rescuing survivors on deserted islands and avoiding sharks on the way. I was mainly involved in the background art, UI, player ships and other icons.

Lost In Dimension

2020 | Game Jam Project | 2 Player puzzle game | Unity

I took part in the Online Together Jam that was hosted by YMCA Scotland, to produce a game with the theme of  "Mentor-Student".

This theme was open which we eventually interpreted as a two-player game involving two kids trapped in parallel universes with one player having movement and interaction with the world around them, and the other having text-based answers.

The two players would need to interact in order to solve puzzles that each other cannot see.
