MUMS Conducting Programme

The conducting programme at the University of Manchester is unique in the UK.  The opportunities and guidance given through MUMS to student conductors in a wide variety of genres are unsurpassed anywhere at undergraduate level. The student conductors run non-auditioned ensemble rehearsals, such as MUSO and MUWO, as well as assisting in Symphony Orchestra rehearsals. There are 6 student conductors, chosen through a series of auditions held in February-March. Auditions are open to all, even if you have never officially conducted before.
