About the Jazz Ensemble

JAMMS* is MUMS' non-auditioned, relaxed jazz group. JAMMS has something for everyone, whether you want to learn more about jazz, build confidence improvising, or just have a jam. The sessions are informal, and usually run like workshops or jams, and often involve learning things by ear! JAMMS is open to all instruments and vocalists. The are performance opportunities for JAMMS members throughout the year.  *formerly know as MUJE

Rehearsals

JAMMS rehearsals take place in G16 (in the Martin Harris Centre) every Saturday from 2-4pm. Each session is adapted to the ability of whoever comes, so players who are new to jazz are more than welcome to come. Equally, more experienced jazzers will be pushed - so there really will be something for everyone.
