Looking back on this life of his that was about to end, Robert could poinpoint the single biggest event off all his formative years, the one that had set him on his path of hate and manipulation and shaped every serious decision that he had made.
Looking back, it started with a girl, a girl in primary school who on Friday had said yes to being his girlfriend, just as the bell was ringing to signal home time. All weekend he was riding on clloud 9 and it wasn’t until Monday afternoon in the playground that he had his first liesson in the poiwer of the group. All it took was two classmates to start teasing his girlfriend, then a couple more joined in and before he knew it, they were all teasing her and then the next thing he knew he was alone and miserable and she was no longer his girlfriend.
For the remainder of his formal education, he became fascinated with the human psyche and in particular the strength of peer pressure. He learned quickly that most people were malleable. But that wasn’t enough, there needed to be a catalyst, and through trial and error, Robert found that there was no greater catalyst for fear.
By his early twenties, he has studying psychology a college in the day, and applying and refining his techniques in the evening.
By the time he left college, he had created an exact profile of the people that he needed for his plan to be a success, but he had no way of connecting with them all, so he continued to refine his plan on small scale crowds.
Then the Internet happened and he had a tool that he could use to both find his crowd and manipulate it.
He sent out questionnaires and farmed the data, then he created the events. Once the event started, he sent the post that acted as the catalyst.
