Sunrise Twin Cities is the local chapter of the national Sunrise Movement--an organization of young people fighting the climate crisis. We support and work with many Twin Cities environmental justice groups, organize for local climate champions, and advocate for a Green New Deal! Contact sunrise@macalester.edu to join.
The Campus Climate Coalition (CCC) is a network of EJ, sustainability, and climate organizations and student leaders at Macalester. Our mission is to build strong relationships within environmental groups on campus to support one another, work towards everyone's unique strengths, and develop a strong environmental organizing community.
MacShare is a nonprofit student organization which brings food justice to campus through weekly food sales and partnerships with local organizations.
Promotes sustainable practices and urban gardening. They manage the college's garden (near the Spanish Language house), the greenhouse (Olin Rice), in addition to programming and community outreach. Formerly, known as MacCares (Macalester Community Action for Resiliency, Environmentalism and Sustainability) and MULCH (Macalester Urban Land and Community Health).
Offers programs such as planned rides, workshops and repair clinics to promote bike usage as an accessible act of sustainability.

The Macalester Organizing Coalition is a community organizing group that works to create a space where Macalester students can find a community on campus with similar passions and drive to make change on- and off-campus. We focus on organizing events and discussion around different political and social issues at Macalester, in the Twin Cities, and in Minnesota and work to centralize the organizing and political power of students on campus by working with other organizing groups on many different issues and topics.
