Similarly, ASL signer asks questions using facial expressions, head movements, and pauses which calls non-manual signals.
When you are asking a wh-question, use these non-manual markers that are
furrow brows together
lean your head forward slightly without breaking eye contact with the listener
hold the last sign (which should be a wh-word sign) until your listener starts to answer
