All officers regardless of rank are to always be equipped with the following
A Service Pistol (Glock or Sig Saur) - For use of Deadly force against a suspect
A Service Rifle (M4A1) - **Only for Officers and above**
A X26 Taser - For less than lethal force use against a suspect
An ASP Baton - For Less than Lethal force for compliance
Handcuffs - For apprehending suspects safely
A Radio - For communicating with dispatch and other officers
A Flashlight - for lighting up dark areas and collecting evidence
A Government ID badge - For identifying yourself to others
Bandages / Medical Supplies - For rendering aid to yourself, other officers or suspects alike
Water and Snacks - for providing yourself and other nourishment
All officers vehicles will be equipped with the following
A Shotgun - For breaching close areas.
Extra Ammo for the Shotgun and your Service pistol
Spike Strips - For stopping suspects vehicles during pursuits once the conditions are met
Extra Body Armor - For Stopping bullets coming at you
Evidence Bags - for collecting bullets, blood and fingerprint samples
Medical Supplies - For rendering aid to suspects (this includes NARCAN)
Ramming tool - For breaching doors
Some equipment is only for special circumstances or will be locked to higher ranks.
Beanbag Shotgun - This is used as an alternative to the taser as a less than lethal alternative, for Supervisors and SWAT.
Tear Gas - This is used for barricaded suspects to attempt to get them to surrender or subsume to the gas. Can also be used in Riot control (SWAT only)
CID Camera - This is used to take evidence photos for Cases by CID (CID ONLY)
Use by non CID officers is strictly prohibited!
Submachine Guns - These are an alternative to the Rifle and have reduced range but an increased rate of fire. More Utilized by CID and the MOTO division as they are quicker to use.
Graffiti Removal kit - This can be used by all officers to clean graffiti off of walls.
