Officers that wish to join the Investigations Unit must meet the following requirements:
Be in the rank of Senior Officer (at minimum)
Be in good standing with the Department (Must not have any open Internal Affair Investigations, must not have any recent Strikes within the department)
Have the recommendation from a Corporal or higher
Express an interest in joining the Investigations Unit
The Investigations Unit hand selects Officers to join its ranks and is invitation only. When you meet all of these requirements you then will be asked to join us in a verbal interview then we will pick officers after the interview that we seem fit
Training Process
After you have been accepted into CID you will receive the rank of Junior Detective during this process you will be placed on a investigation with a full time detective.
You will be required to do these acts during your training period with your assigned detective while you do these following acts you will have your assigned detective overlooking your work making sure you are able to complete these tasks
File Indecent reports
Gather information from scenes
Questioning Victims and suspects
Stake outs of locations that are involved in crimes
