HOW TO REPORT CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT

Report any suspected child abuse or neglect to the Louisiana DCFS Child Abuse/Neglect Hotline at 855-4LA-KIDS (855-452-5437) so that any allegations may be assessed through the appropriate child welfare process. Additional information and child welfare resources are also available through the DCFS website Reporting Child Abuse/Neglect | Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services. 

In addition, individuals with concerns regarding the safety, protection, and well-being of a child may contact the Louisiana Child Ombudsman Office. The Ombudsman provides an avenue for reviewing concerns related to child welfare services and child safety. You may contact the Child Ombudsman through any of the following methods:

If you believe your child is in immediate danger, please continue to contact local law enforcement and the appropriate child protection authorities.
