VISIONS is a student-led secondary payload attached to the NASA EscaPADE twin orbiter mission to Mars. This device is built to take Thermal and Visual data of the surface of Mars to provide data that can be used to learn more about the large-scale geologic composition of the red planet. This sensor package was developed in collaboration with Lucint Systems.
As a member of the electrical engineering team at NAU for VISIONS, I helped keep track of power and environmental requirements for the payload as well as curating plans for and conducting EMC testing on the finished design.
