Public Programs

I first started working at Lowell as a volunteer telescope operator and constellation tour guide before being hired on as a part-time Public Programs Educator.

In my role as an Educator, I continued my previous work as a telescope operator and open house docent while taking on more responsibilities; I gave talks to the public about astronomy and planetary science and about the history of and current research being supported by Lowell Observatory. I also performed science demos to teach the public about different topics in astronomy and planetary science relevant to the research Lowell Observatory is known for.

I also am developing my skills in astrophotography while being at Lowell. here are a few pictures I've taken while working at the observatory (see Contact Info for a link to my astrophotography Instagram!
