Kimi to Boku to no Kishi no Hibi -Rakuen no Chevalier-

The definition of a quick burn. It reveals its best cards way too early, right before the OP, and it fades quickly after that, with nothing holding a candle to what came before it.

It has shades of being a battle harem light novel that relies too much on harem spectacles to keep the story going. The slice of life is trite to say the least and wears out fast as it follows a similar formula. The world also feels really closed off, not giving the reader any breathing room or anything to latch onto. It feels purely artificial and fails in creating a real world.

The fights also start becoming more predictable once the initial pattern is set into stone. It does not deviate from its formula one bit and that makes the story lose all the narrative weight it once started with. There is no sense of tension and that makes everything that much worse.

The characters are nothing special and although the protagonist has his shining moments, reverts back very quickly in a husk of his potential, not letting the story expand on the potential that is there.

The true end is a conglomeration of plot threads tied very sloppily and feels very poorly executed as it felt like the writers were throwing everything at once into it, making it feel unfocused.

Overall, shows some promise at the beginning but dashed it very quickly soon after.
