The mimiq was a domestic breed of dog found across the Holy Eavonian Confederation. Adult mimiqs stood about a half meter tall and would live on average for twenty years. Their coats ranged from shades of red, brown, and white. The ribcage of the mimiq was incredibly wide yet short, giving their body a distinct spherical appearance.
Mimiqs get their name from their innate ability to copy and perform actions such as tricks and athletic feats. The predecessor of the mimiq were hunting dogs from the southern Lagasu territory. This species was highly capable of learning commands, a trait which evolved into the modern mimiq breed.
Mimiqs became popular with the wealthy Eavon population during the 6th Age, the dogs performing entire routines to parlor guests for their amusement.
