I was first exposed to pastel drawing in my drawing class at Miami University with Dana Saulnier. For several of our works, he suggested working in pastel to me. It was the introduction that I needed. Throughout my artistic career, I have always come back to pastels at key moments in my life. Although I have not had any pastel classes nor workshops, I just seem to know what to do with them.
