2nd Year Practicum Portfolio - Winter 2023
This portfolio contains various documents, journals, observations, feedback, and implemented lesson plans that were compiled during my 70hr practicum during my second year of study.

This pedagogical narration follows one student I encountered during my 3rd-year practicum and presents the importance of socio-emotional support being provided to young students, especially to those whose home lives are not stable.
ADHD in the Preschool Setting
This case study is based on a scenario in which a preschool student is diagnosed with ADHD and is a target of bullying. The purpose of this case study was to look at research on the topic, suggest alternative ideas using said research, and create a lesson plan that could help the student.
A Teacher's Guide to Bullying in the Elementary Setting
This handbook was created with some of my peers. Its goal is to provide teachers with an in-depth understanding of bullying. In this handbook are compiled the many shapes and forms bullying occurs in as well as solutions and resources teachers can use to help prevent, lessen or spread awareness on bullying in their schools and classrooms.
How to Help Bilingual Students's Vocabulary at Home
This is a strategic guide created with the goal of helping parents support and enhance their bilingual student's vocabulary at home, specifically those from kindergarten to cycle 1 (grade 1-2). It explains various ways parents can support their children through the use of media outside of the classroom setting.
How Teachers Can Use Reciprocal Teaching to Improve Reading Comprehension
This encyclopedia entry mentions how teachers can use reciprocal teaching to improve their students' reading comprehension. It goes into defining reciprocal teaching and later mentions benefits and how it can be implemented. Although this strategy is mostly aimed at upper elementary, it can be modified for any grade level.
