Collaboration

Teaching is a social job that involves teachers being in constant communication throughout the day. Whether it is with students, parents or other staff, teachers need to cultivate a relationship with all those around them. These relationships help teachers understand their students and community better and allow them to get not only the support but also the knowledge they need to help their students and their classroom in the way that benefits everyone best. It doesn't stop there. Education is a team effort with multiple people involved. Staff members and others involved within the teachers' team are important staff members that help support not only the teachers but the students as well as they prioritize the students' needs. Parents are also very important within this team as teachers and parents often work together to ensure their students are getting the support they need at school.
