Kent County Council (KCC) require families to name an Intended Post 16 destination for young people with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) at the Year 10 Annual Review during Term 5. Families will need to reconfirm the young persons Intended Destination at the Year 11 Annual Review during Term 1. By naming the Intended Destination in Term 5 of Year 10 and reconfirming in Term 1 of Year 11, this gives time for KCC to undertake the relevant consultations in order to meet their deadline of naming Post 16 provisions in Section (I) of the EHCP by the 31st March.
Families will need to name the young persons Intended Destination for Year 13 at the Year 12 Annual Review during Term 2 of Year 12, this includes any families hoping to stay on at Laleham Gap Post 16 for Year 13. By naming the Intended Destination in Term 2 of Year 12, this gives time for KCC to undertake the relevant consultations before naming provision in Section (I) of the EHCP.
