At the heart of our Children's Day festivities was the flag-off, symbolic registration, and enrollment ceremony held at Police College Ikeja. It was a momentous occasion graced by esteemed dignitaries who share our passion for education and our dedication to nurturing young minds.
We were honored to have Mr. Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat lead the ceremony, representing the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. Their presence symbolized a commitment to providing quality education and a promising future for our children.
Joining them were leaders in education and other sectors in Lagos State, including the Hon. Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Jamiu Alli-BALOGUN, the Hon. Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Mr. Sule Tolani, Other State Exco members, Chairman of LASUBEB, Dr Hakeem Shittu, Permanent Secretary, Min. of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr Abayomi Bolaji and some other members of body of Permanent Secretaries, The Board Secretary of LASUBEB, Mr Hakeem Lamidi and the Education Secretary of Lagos Mainland LGEA, Mr Tijani Tajudeen and The Education Secretary of Kosofe Local Government Education Authorities (LGEA), Mr. Babatunde Shoneye among others. Their support and encouragement filled the atmosphere with positivity and excitement, setting the stage for an unforgettable week ahead.

As the flag-off ceremony marked the beginning of our celebrations, our schools under the LGEA embraced the spirit of Children's Day with unparalleled enthusiasm. From St. Agnes Nur & Pry School's vibrant Culture Day, where cultural foods and artwork took center stage, to the various cultural exchanges, performances, and educational activities across our schools, every moment was a testament to the diversity, unity, and joy within our community.
Our Children's Day celebrations weren't limited to just one area—they spread their joyous wings across Ikosi/Isheri, bringing together schools, communities, and leaders in a vibrant tapestry of culture and unit.
Thanks to the wonderful efforts of Mayoress Princess Simbiat Abolanle Bada, the Children's Day party for our 12 schools in Ikosi/Isheri was a spectacular success. The event was a vibrant celebration that truly brought out the best in our pupils. The day was filled with joyful activities, starting with colorful cultural dances that beautifully wove stories of our rich traditions and pride. The spirited march pasts were a sight to behold, echoing with enthusiasm and unity.
The Mayoress's dedication and passion for the community were evident in every detail of the celebration. The children’s laughter and smiles were a testament to the joyous atmosphere she helped create. From the meticulously organized activities to the inclusive spirit that welcomed every child, the day was a wonderful expression of togetherness and community pride.
