Everyone in Nhilana knows how the World in which they live was born and was divided in major ages.
[I] The beginning
At the dawn of the known world and beyond, there were two distinct things: the Matahari which radiated its explosive energy in the immensity of the cosmos and Whenua who slept placidly.
One day the two entities were able to meet and with time love blossomed between them: they were complementary entities, every part of their relationship was perfect and bright.
They decided to join in a higher, symbiotic level: thanks to their bond, Nhilana was born and Ma'an and Ahi with it.
There, the first one flowed quietly on the ground and the second one started to warm the cold earth from the inside, sometimes showing himself from holes in the earth.
After this moment, also Matahari and Whenua decided to settle there.
Over time, Earth was enriched with vegetation, light and life ...
[II] Kings of Sky age
Centuries passed, and over time, Nhilana became filled with incredible plants, creatures and places, so idyllic that it seems difficult to believe that it is not just a dream.
Whenua loved every creature, every bush and couldn't help but rejoice at what she and her partner managed to create.
One day, however, Whenua noticed a creature in particular: small, black, almost blind, which lived in the depths of the earth.
He was a humble creature, he did not disturb the existence of any other creature; they lived alone, in the cold, almost forgotten and who seemed only to wait and comply with divine will.
Whenua could not remain indifferent: with the consent of her partner and her children she changed this creature, making it large, strong and unstoppable and capable of deciding its own destiny.
She gave them large and powerful wings to fly the skies, their terrible eyesight was replaced by exceptional sense of smell and hearing and brightly colored skin so they could be seen by everyone, to be recognized for their beauty and humility.
From that moment, the world became the cradle of the kings of sky, sea and earth - the Kiseilians.
[III] Scholars of the world
The power of the Kise reached its peak: these splendid creatures seemed to spread everywhere, regardless of the environment.
Despite this, they continued not to disturb other creatures, preferring to rest rather than subjugate the other creatures of creation.
In the eras that followed, another species seemed to appear in the immense Nhilana: it learned from the world around it, understood its workings and tried to use it to its advantage. Humans were part of a group of sentient creatures well rooted in nhilana, but it seemed that they did not want to make do with what the world gave them, always inventing something new and innovative. Whenua was fascinated by them, as it made them very similar to her and her family. To facilitate them, she gave the best of herself and the human species (and not only) was able to grow in the richest and most luxuriant era of all known eras; all the animals took advantage of it.
Thanks to this wealth, men reached incredible heights: large buildings, extreme wealth and knowledge of the world, capable of producing energy and food for everyone's needs.
The Kiseilians became an integral part of human society, venerated by them as the chosen ones of the Gods, because they were humble but immensely powerful; in fact owning one was a sign of great prestige and luck.
[IV] Wrath of Ahi
Ahi, son of Whenua and Matahari, did not seem to accept the arrival of the men.
They were not humble like the kise, they did not make do with what their mother earth gave them and they thought they could reach levels that only the gods could reach. Over time, his appearance also changed: from the ground covered with lush plants, he began to dry out and the flame that burned on his shoulder became bigger and bigger.
His anger and fury was unleashed on nhilana (actually I should say the name of the ancient island, not nhilana.... well I'll correct it later) and covered the land of creation with lava and flames that killed many men and many creatures and plants, while earthquakes caused the entire civilization to collapse.
Whenua asked her daughter Ma'an for help to stop him with the strength of her rains and the arrogance of the waves, but it didn't seem to have an effect.
Matahari managed to stop his son and locked him underground, punishing him for what he had done.
[V] Born from Ashes
The disaster had now been done, and with Whenua's immense sadness for everything that had happened, they tried to remedy it as they could: Ma'an with calm waters and Matahari allowed the human boats to reach new lands, brought out directly by whenua.
In these new lands, the survivors were able to start again, but men decided to forget the technological levels achieved to avoid yet another fury of Ahi.
Now only a vague legend remains, some engravings on rock walls, some statues and books scattered around the world, those preserved by a few people who did not want to forget despite what happened.
[VI] Current era
Now the population of nhilana is structured in cities scattered around the continents.
Over the centuries, voluntarily or not, the human technological level has improved, but it is no longer at the level reached in antiquity.
Depending on the cities and the places where the cities are located, there are different levels of culture, politics and worldview and religion.
In some places you can glimpse a primitive, medieval lifestyle, while in others there is the appearance of simple machines.
In fact, the earth suffers, and is unable to give its creatures all the material necessary to satisfy them.
Various tribes of other sentient creatures are still widespread around the woods and jungles, which over the centuries have maintained their humble state and in full harmony with nature, but it often happens that they go to the cities to improve their lifestyle or for various needs.
