Kiseilians are a colourful specie and, such as parrots, their bright colours are used to attract a mate to reproduce.
In some cases their colours may also help to camouflage, but Kiseilians don't have a lot of natural enemies due to their average large sizes.
You may slighly change shade and saturation of the sliders but remember: Kiseilians SHOULD NOT be too saturated. They aren't frogs.
Only Heliodor is allowed to show saturated colours, but avoid extreme, please.
Coat colors
The most common base coat are Jasper, Heliodor and Hauyne.
When breeding two Kiseilians with the same base coat, you'll always get pups of that base coat:
Jasper x Jasper = Jasper
If the pair has different coat colors, they may give birth to pups showing uncommon base coat colours: Sugilite, Amber and Malachite.
Jasper x Heliodor = Jasper, Heliodor or Amber
The rarest combination of colors is Charcoal: a dark grey base coat, obtained by having all the base colors genes (Aa/Ee/Ss).
Diluitors
Additionally to coat colors, a rare random gene may appear: the "Diluitor". Diluitor darken or lighten the base coat, regardless of its rarity.
When the Diluitor is recessive (Dd) it lighten the base coat and it's called "Pearl".
When the Diluitor is dominant (DD) it darken the base coat and it's called "Smoke".
Tropical Kiseilians are extremely colorful: Smoke Diluitor is very rare on them.
Nordic Kiseilians instead evolved to either absorb more light by being darker or hide better with lighter colors: bright and saturated colors are very rare on them.
When a Charcoal Kiseilian has either Pearl or Smoke Diluitor becomes almost fully white (Alabaster) or black (Onyx).
Breedings between same common coats:
Jasper x Jasper
Aa/ee/ss x Aa/ee/ss
Results:
Aa/ee/ss
The only gene present is the same, so pups will always have parents' base coat colour.
Breeding between different common coats:
Jasper x Heliodor
Aa/ee/ss x aa/Ee/ss
Results:
Aa/ee/ss: Jasper
aa/Ee/ss: Heliodor
Aa/Ee/ss: Amber
Common coats can give birth to uncommon coat.
Breeding between same uncommon coats:
Sugilite x Sugilite
Aa/ee/Ss x Aa/ee/Ss
Results:
Aa/ee/ss: Jasper
aa/ee/Ss: Hauyne
Aa/ee/Ss: Sugilite
Uncommon colors may give birth to the original common colors.
Breeding between different uncommon coats:
Amber x Malachite
Aa/Ee/ss x aa/Ee/Ss
Results:
Aa/ee/ss: Jasper
aa/Ee/ss: Heliodor
aa/ee/Ss: Hauyne
Aa/Ee/ss: Amber
Aa/ee/Ss: Sugilite
aa/Ee/Ss: Malachite
Aa/Ee/Ss: Charcoal
Notice that even if the same gene is present in both parents (Ee) it may not pass! However, they can give birth to every colour!
Diluitor gene may appear randomly even if you breed Kiseilians without it. Having the Dd/DD gene may increase the chances to get it.
While it's rarer for Tropical Kiseilians to have the Dd/DD gene, it's rarer for Nordic Kiseilians to not have it!
