Adventurers are owners of tamed Kiseilians.
Since our group has a specific lore, there are some rules to follow about adventurers. Maybe they could appear to be a little strict but this group is lore based and we would like to test your artistic skills and allow yourself to improve!
Appearance
Your adventurer should be big enough to be clearly visible in the artwork. We won't ask for specific heights, as it's complex to check, but they should reach (more or less) the Kiseilian's belly while standing. Remember that a Kiseilian can reach an height of 2 to 4,5 metres.
Humanoid or anthropomorfic characters are preferred, however, as long as your character has hands with thumbs it's ok!
Shapeshifters are not allowed! You can use your shapeshifter characters, but they can't shift their shape in Nhilana: the natives are extremely superstitious and suspicious of any foreigner. If they spot you changing form, you may risk prison or, worse, death!
Anyway, outside the ARPG your characters can be whatever you want. They can have mutiple forms, versions, whatever.
Nhilana is inhabited mainly by humans, but other types of creatures of the most disparate shapes can also be found:
Characters who have the appearance and the characteristics of humans, but they are not humans, such as: elves, dwarves, orcs, trolls, goblins, aliens and any kind of hybrids.
Characters who have the form of a person, such as well known anthros or mythical creatures such as: centaurs, nagas, minotaurs etc.
They do not have to represent only existing creatures but it is enough that their appearance recalls vaguely the human one.
Anything else who isn't part of the previous categories, can anyway be part of the ARPG, following common sense: probably a dragon or a 3m tall alien wouldn't fit as adventurer.
Other ARPG characters can be used and will count as adventurers only if they meet the said requirements. They always must be linked in the description of every image depicting them.
Clothing
Nhilana is a continent full of superstitions and suspects towards foreigners, this is why anyone should try their best to blend among the native inhabitants.
Any clothing which can remind of medieval, roman or steampunk age will be accepted by any native.
Modern or futuristic clothings would be extremely suspicious and may lead to a terrible and painful death... Nhilanians aren't known to be comprehensive.
Taking part in the lore
Your character may be a traveller from far lands but they may also be born on Nhilana.
On Nhilana there are a few big cities and many tribes in the wilderness.
Cities are cultural and economical centers, allowing any creature to live and work there. In cities you can find any kind of creature, from humans to anthros. However, anthros are often not well-regarded by native humans.
Due to native humans' superstitions, anthros prefer to live in the tribes. Tribes are inhabited by the native anthros of Nhilana, which are way more open-minded than the humans.
If you want to read more about cities, tribes and local history, you can find it on this page.
Adventurers in game
Adventurers can change freely, own only one or hundreds of Kiseilians, disappear or die as you please.
This means there is no need to make a reference for them, or register them somewhere.
However...
Adventurers can be officially registered in game, by joining on the Adventurer's Guilds. This unlocks new trainings, activities and possible events for your Kiseilians.
Adventurers living in Nhilana reunited together in Guilds with the same interests and jobs, cooperating to make their Guild thrive.
There are many Guilds, as there are many jobs on the continent: each gives specific bonus in activities, additional items and Shamtyrs.
Guilds are adventurer-bonded: one adventurer - one Guild.
Kiseilians are naturally curious and will try to make new things out of anything they find. Having an adventurer may be helpful in avoiding disasters and have an helping hand in learning new things.
Careers unlock new useful recipes to be used in game.
Careers are Kiseilian-bonded: one Kiseilian - one Career, while the adventurer may have more Kiseilians with different Careers.
Any Kiseilian may join on a Career, but only if tamed they can reach the higher levels.
