Parking & Commuting

Parking: There are several onsite and offsite parking options for BCH employees who desire monthly parking. Learn more about individual locations and pricing here. You must also fill out the Commuter Services Parking and Transit Application.  

MBTA: Benefits-Eligible Employees are eligible for a 75% MBTA pass subsidy (up to $280 per month). To receive this subsidy, you must request your pass on the 10th of the previous month and fill out the MBTA Deduction Authorization Form. You can also do this in person at the Parking Office. Commuter Rail passes are mailed to your home address. LINK and Bus passes are picked up at the Parking Office. 10-Ride Commuter Rail passes are delivered electronically via the MBTA M-Ticket App.

Taking “The T”: If you are taking the train to BCH, you must take the Green Line D (Riverside) to the Longwood stop OR the Green Line E (Heath Street) to the Longwood Medical Area stop. 

Free MASCO Shuttle Buses: These buses are free to BCH employees (you must show your badge) and run regularly throughout the week from various parts of the city. Learn more about this service here.

Biking:  Boston is considered one of the US’s most bike-friendly cities! Learn how to safely plan your commute and about the Boston public bike share (Bluebikes). BCH offers benefits-eligible employees discounts on Boston’s bikeshare as well as incentives for biking to work. Check out these programs here. Free secure biking for your personal bike is available in the Patient Family Garage at 283 Longwood Avenue and at Two Brookline Place. You will need your employee badge to open the secure bike cages and you must register your bicycle. For the Patient Family Garage, please register at the BCH Parking Office.  For Two Brookline Place, please register at the Security Desk at Brookline Place.  They will need your bicycle serial number.
