Family & Childcare

BCH provides many excellent resources to help you take care of your family and children. Check out these resources!

Family & Childcare Resources

Care.com. Care.com’s Personal Care Network allows employees to find their own caregivers and/or centers, pay for care, then submit to Care.com for reimbursement. Normal copays ($6.00 per hour) still apply, but the care is reimbursed for up to $125/day beyond the copay. To activate your benefit, go to bch.care.com or call (855) 781-1303.

Childcare Assistance Subsidy. To help offset the cost of childcare for employee parents, Boston Children’s Hospital will provide a childcare subsidy to eligible employee parents who incur certain childcare costs via an eligible childcare provider. This program provides a monthly subsidy (payment) to assist with the cost of regular, ongoing childcare with a licensed childcare provider.

BCH Childcare Center. The center accepts a limited number of enrollments for children of employees ages three months to five years. (617) 355-6006

Employee Lactation Support Program. On the first Tuesday of every month, this program offers an informative class that includes the opportunity to discuss a variety of breast pumps and related equipment, and strategies for pumping at work.

Group Legal Services. The MetLife Legal Plan provides you, your spouse and dependents with fully covered legal services from attorneys experienced in estate planning documents, civil suits, adoption, creditor issues and much more.

NeighborSchools. NeighborSchools helps employees find, tour, and enroll in licensed home daycare centers & preschools. These high-quality, small-scale programs offer full-time care and are conveniently located right in your neighborhood.

Oviahealth. From period tracking and trying to conceive to pregnancy, parenting, and menopause – Ovia is by your side.

DID YOU KNOW? The Kirby Center established a private lactation station on the 12th floor of CLS.  Download the Mamava Mobile App from the Apple Store or Google Play to unlock and access the suites for pumping and breastfeeding. The private Mamava pod is available on a first-come, first-served basis. It has a hospital-grade, electric breast pump (a personal kit will be needed for use). The Mamava app will tell you if the station is available and unlock the door when you arrive. The app will also allow you to control the lights, fan, and internal speakers (to play white noise or lullabies).

NOTE: If you are not located in CLS, a list of other lactation stations at BCH can be found here.
