Mohit Manoj nikalje
My name is Mohit Manoj Nikalje. I was born and raised in Pune, often referred to as the Oxford of the East. However, somehow I ended up in the bustling Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore. I've always had a keen interest in science and have embarked on various scientific adventures. My inquiries during my school and college years often included a "why" element, delving into the very essence of existence. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for Ecology and Evolution, which led me to the Centre for Ecological Sciences. I am proud to be the first MSc Life Science student at the lab, as the course was recently inaugurated

My work in lab
As part of my master thesis, I am primarily working on how early life predation in mosquitoes impact traits related to blood acquisition of female mosquitoes. we expect that, mosquitoes from the predation environment, which have developed faster, will have compromised adult growth, that's why, to fill the gap, the adult female mosquitoes will be more motivated to blood feed. Additionally, we also looked at morphometeric traits.
