In the ancient times of Kijabi's history, a time when lions reigned, there echoed tales of a light colored hyena known as the Mother. With compassion and strength, she guided her starving clan to the heart of the Kijabi, a refuge sought after they were expelled from their home after it fell prey to corruption by dark forces.
As the Mother's hyenas sought refuge in Kijabi on that fateful first night, they found themselves confronted by the formidable lions. The hyenas pleaded with the lions to let them rest there for the night as they couldn't travel any longer. However, their pleas fell on deaf ears as the lions, unmoved by compassion, instead launched a vicious attack on the hyena clan.
Driven by an overwhelming surge of anger and desperation, the Mother, with her maternal instincts ablaze, took decisive action. With a courage born of fury, she single-handedly engaged the lion king in a violent battle, her ferocity matched only by the intensity of the sun. In a display of raw power, she emerged victorious and bloody, striking down the lion king.
The echoes of her triumph struck through the night air, casting a shadow of fear and uncertainty over the lion followers who had witnessed her formidable prowess.
The lions, refusing to relent, launched a relentless counterattack once they had recuperated. After a fierce and protracted battle, the hyenas and lions clashed fiercely over control of the Kijabi.
This led to a full-blown war between the two species, with a select group of hyenas pleading with the Mother to seek peace with the lions, growing weary of the ongoing conflict. However, the Mother, unforgiving of the lions' aggression and the lives they had taken, adamantly refused any attempts at reconciliation.
Unbeknownst to her, these hyenas secretly ventured into lion territory to negotiate peace. Upon their return with news of the pact they had made, the Mother, feeling betrayed, promptly exiled them. Forced to retreat into lion territory with their former clan mates nipping at their heels. The lions welcomed the hyenas with open arms, offering them refuge within their ranks.
These select group of Hyenas became known as the Kusitawa Clan.
The hyenas quickly chased out the lions, forcing them to withdraw to the remote corners of the Kijabi. With two hyena clans now vying for resources within the territory, peace came over the Kijabi once more. However, unbeknownst to the Mother, her greatest threat lay closer to home. Her son, bearing a dark-colored pelt, grew restless.
He wanted dominion over the Kijabi, yearning to rid it of both the lions and the traitorous hyenas who had betrayed their own kind. Unfortunately, his eldest sister was next in line for the throne. The son was a charming hyena, persuading some of the clan to fall into his beliefs. Soon consumed by an insatiable yearning for something more primal, he turned against his mother in a fateful act of rebellion, attacking her with such ferocity that it stained the sky crimson with her blood.
Claiming himself to be the rightful heir.
His mother's death fulfilled a dark desire within him. He consumed his mother's body, igniting a newfound appetite for flesh, after tasting her blood. His eldest sister and the remaining followers of the Mother fled to the mountains, fearing they'd be eaten themselves.
They became known as the Zuvan Clan.
With the rise of two rival clans encroaching upon their territory, resources stretched perilously thin. As scarcity tightened its grip, hunger gnawed at the clan's stomachs.
Desperation permeated the air, and in their weakened state, the clan found themselves teetering on the brink of starvation. It was then that the Heir, the son of the revered Mother, conceived a radical solution to alleviate their suffering.
With a grim determination, the Heir devised a plan to eliminate the newly emerged Kusitawa Queen. In a brazen act, he orchestrated her demise and presented her lifeless body to the clan.
In a macabre display born out of necessity, the starving hyenas, descended upon the fallen queen's remains. The solemn ritual of feasting, once reserved for the sanctity of the hunt, now transformed into a haunting tableau of desperation and survival.
The relentless cycle of aggression persisted as the clan continued to hunt down and consume members of their rival clans. However, the outcomes varied drastically within the clan itself. While some hyenas seemed to endure the new diet without any consequence, others began to succumb to sickness and weakness.
Even the Heir, once a formidable figure among his followers, found himself afflicted by the very malaise he had wrought upon others. Despite his own physical decline, his insatiable hunger for the flesh of his kind persisted unabated. Driven by an urge that eclipsed reason, he adamantly refused to halt the gruesome feasting.
As illness permeated the clan, those fortunate enough to remain unaffected found themselves burdened by an overwhelming workload, exacerbated by the absence of their ailing comrades. Frustration mounted, festering discontent among the ranks.
In a desperate bid for salvation, a faction of hyenas, opted to seek refuge in the nearby marshlands. Their departure marked yet another fracture in the once-unified clan The weakened Heir, consumed by a blend of desperation and fury, hurled cries of defiance after the departing group, trailing them into the murky depths of the swamp.
His demands for their return echoed fruitlessly, swallowed by the embrace of the marsh. From that day forward, he vanished into obscurity, leaving behind only whispers of his anguished cries.
These new marshland hyenas became known as the Magi Giza Clan.
The original hyena clan now found themselves leaderless, their once-strong clan now scattered throughout the treacherous swamp in search of their missing leader. Many fell victim to the dangers lurking within its murky depths.
With the Heir gone, a new leadership emerged, gradually forsaking their cannibalistic tendencies and instead embracing a culture of disdain towards it. They began to honor the memory of the Heir as their guiding figurehead.
The original Kijabi clan now stood as the Nyota Clan.
