Here list of common questions and answers to help anyone quickly find information about the roleplay. And if you end up asking something already in the FAQ, that's perfectly fine, we're always happy to help!
Q) How many character slots do we start out with?
Two hyena slots and one lion slot.
Q) How many character slots are allowed in total?
This can change at anytime! Please make it known if you'd want more character slots within the roleplay, this is not a strict set in stone rule.
Six hyena slots
Four lion slots
Two other species slots
Q) What are wishbones?
Kijabi's currency is represented by wishbones.
These can be obtained through various means such as participating in group events, completing prompt tasks, winning contests, engaging in group activities, creating artwork, and roleplaying.
Q) Does Kijabi require activity?
No! We do not require full activity! We ask high ranks to be more active but it will be nothing unreasonable. #activity is optionable and more so just a curtsey.
We however do check-ins every now and then, these can be found in #check-ins. These are us simply asking for a response and if you'd like to keep you character active in the roleplay. If you fail to respond in a certain amount of time, your characters will be placed in limbo. Limbo means they loose their rank and clan slot but they can be brought back.
Q) What happens to our characters when we leave?
In canon, characters will die in a way that their relationships are affected, ensuring they are remembered and their existence has an impact. In ooc, they will simply be taken off the roster.
Q) Am I allowed to another species characters?
Yes! There will be 2 slots, rules and information for them have not been set in place though.
Q) What tags can I use?
@Seeking Roleplay to look for roleplays!
@Character Plotting to look for character relations/plotting!
@Adoptable When you post an adopt!
Q) How is albinism and leucism viewed with restricted traits?
Albinism and leucism are two different traits in animals. We require albinism to be claimed but leucism doesn’t need to be claimed nor do we count it as a restricted trait:
Albinism is the absence of melanin in the body, causing an individual's skin/etc to become a pale, whiter color and their eyes red/pink from the lack of pigment. It’s more commonly known that they struggle to camouflage and have sensitivity to sunlight (EX: higher risk of getting sunburnt or developing sun cancer), but they also often have some form of reduced vision. There are two main types of albinism: Oculocutaneous (OCA) and Ocular (OA).
We are not strict on the appearance of albino characters in the Kijabi (they don’t need to be completely white with red/pink eyes), but we classify albinos here by the symptoms of this condition.
Leucism is a defect in pigment cells that causes a reduction to all types of pigments, not just melanin. Animals with leucism may have pale, muted colors and/or irregular patches of white. Leucism can cause health issues, but it depends on the species and severity of the condition.
