PROJECT 1A
Students must develop a comprehension of the context for intervention for project 1A. The students are required to visit the location in their separate tutorial groups to determine the tangible and intangible characteristics that define the place. It will be possible to determine the requirements of the neighborhood by having interactions with site visitors. The students collaborated with their tutorial group to create a Urban Farm Masterplan as their design response to the site analysis phase. Projects 1B: Architectural Allotment and Project 2: P3KU Kebun Komuniti Center will be the framework provided by this design.
In this project, I was able to understand the connections between community needs, the environment, and sustainable design principles. To ensure that every choice was well-informed and meant, it was made after rigorous observation and data collection.
PROJECT 1B
Kebun Komuniti Plan's Project 1B, which was created concurrently, deals with the notion of materiality in connection to user experience. To build an architectural allotment that will highlight architectural form as a construct of materiality for a certain set of plant-related activities, we are divided into smaller groups of three to four persons.
Working on this project, I ran into certain difficulties. In order to include the special growing requirements of the climbing plants into the design, it was crucial to do study and have a knowledge of these requirements. In order to maintain the health of the plants' development and avoid congestion, it was crucial to look at variables such the plants' growth direction, supporting structures, and spacing.
PROJECT 2
Students must provide the design concepts for project 2 that include information from site assessment and prior research. Students will explore environmental poetics of building enclosure designs that lessen environmental impact using a variety of complex typologies of spatial organization and a variety of passive design techniques, as well as develop narratives that respond to the environment and community within the given context.
I learned a lot about how to design a space for a particular user, identify the user's needs inside the building, investigate pre-existing designs, and create a design that is acceptable and user-friendly via my final project. I hope that all of my errors and learning opportunities will improve on the following task.
