Investing in a Different Way of Learning

At Kaleidoscope, families don't have to commit to one large program in order to become part of the community. Some young people may join us regularly, while others might begin with a workshop, a short-term Lab, a community experience, or something that simply catches their interest.

Because our offerings are designed differently, they are priced differently too. Some experiences are offered individually, some run for several sessions, and others may have recurring options for young people who want Kaleidoscope to become a regular part of their week.

Our goal is to give families meaningful ways to participate at different levels of time, commitment, and cost while keeping groups intentionally small and providing the individualized support that makes Kaleidoscope different.

HOW PRICING WORKS

ONGOING EXPERIENCES

Some parts of Kaleidoscope are designed for young people who want a consistent place to return to and become part of the community. Open Studio and Life in Bloom will offer recurring participation options, with pricing based on how often a participant attends and the level of support provided.

These options are intended for families who want Kaleidoscope to become a regular part of their week without requiring enrollment in a full-time or traditional school program.

CHOOSE-AS-YOU-GO EXPERIENCES

Labs, workshops, community experiences, special events, and seasonal opportunities can be chosen individually based on interest. Pricing will vary depending on the length of the experience, materials, location, admission costs, and any community partners involved.

This makes it possible to try Kaleidoscope, follow a particular interest, or participate when something feels like the right fit without committing to an ongoing membership.

GROWING FROM THE BEGINNING

Kaleidoscope is still at the beginning of its story, and the young people and families who join us now will inevitably become part of how it grows.

As we introduce new Studios, Labs, community experiences, creative opportunities, and partnerships, we will be paying attention to what young people are drawn to, what they want more of, and what may be missing from the opportunities already available to them.

Some of the best ideas for what Kaleidoscope becomes next may come from the people who walk through the door and bring an interest, question, talent, or wonderfully unexpected idea with them.

WAYS TO JOIN KALEIDOSCOPE

Kaleidoscope is designed so that families can choose the experiences that make sense for them rather than having to commit to one full program. Some young people may join us regularly, while others may come for a particular Lab, workshop, community experience, or special event that catches their interest.

OPEN STUDIO

Tuesdays | 4:00–7:00 PM

Flexible arrival available

$50 Single Studio

$175 Monthly Pass | 4 Studios

Open Studio is our recurring interest-driven space for adolescents and emerging adults who want a place to create, explore, develop projects, or simply discover what they might be interested in. A monthly pass offers a lower per-session rate for those who want Kaleidoscope to become a regular part of their week.

LIFE IN BLOOM

Thursdays | 4:00–7:00 PM

Flexible arrival available

$60 Single Experience

$210 Monthly Pass | 4 Experiences

Life in Bloom is designed primarily for older teens and emerging adults who are beginning to explore what a meaningful adult life might look like for them. Experiences may include cooking, budgeting, planning, community participation, creative or entrepreneurial projects, animal stewardship, self-advocacy, executive functioning, and other practical skills connected to each person's own interests, goals, and growing independence.

Kaleidoscope Labs give young people the opportunity to explore a particular interest more deeply while working toward something meaningful. Labs may focus on art, filmmaking, photography, zines, digital media, nature, animals, writing, design, or something entirely different as new interests and opportunities emerge.

Because each Lab is different, pricing is based on the number and length of sessions, materials, location, and any community partners involved. Complete pricing will always be provided before registration.

COMMUNITY EXPERIENCES

Free and individually priced experiences

Community Experiences take Kaleidoscope beyond Home Base and into Tucson, Southern Arizona, and the places where interesting things are actually happening. Experiences may include museums, galleries, artist studios, cultural events, nature and conservation sites, makerspaces, local businesses, community organizations, and other opportunities connected to the interests we are exploring.

Some experiences may be free, while others will have a participation fee based on admission, materials, or other costs involved. Pricing and meeting information will always be provided before registration.

INDIVIDUAL & FAMILY SUPPORT

Available by appointment Scheduling is based on availability

Starting at $90/hour

Individual support is available for adolescents, emerging adults, and families who need something more individualized than our group experiences. Services may include academic tutoring and learning support, executive functioning and project support, as well as educational consultation and advocacy for families navigating school concerns, accommodations, transitions, or other educational needs.

Because individual needs vary, we will talk with you first about what you are looking for and determine whether Kaleidoscope is the right fit before scheduling services.
