WAYS TO EXPERIENCE KALEIDOSCOPE
Kaleidoscope offers a variety of ways for adolescents and emerging adults to explore their interests, discover new ones, create meaningful work, develop skills, and connect with people and experiences beyond the places where they usually learn.
Some experiences are ongoing, while others may unfold over several weeks, happen during a single afternoon or evening, or take us somewhere new in the community. Families can choose what fits their interests, schedules, and needs without having to enroll in a traditional school program or change an educational placement that is already working for them.
OPEN STUDIO
OPEN STUDIO
Open Studio is a flexible, interest-driven space where young people can work on something they already care about or have the freedom to discover something new. They might be drawing, writing, making a zine, editing a video, developing a character, researching an obscure interest, building something, taking photographs, or working on a project entirely their own.
There is room to work independently, alongside others, or collaboratively, with support and mentorship available when it is useful. The goal is not for everyone to be doing the same thing, but for each person to have a place where their ideas and interests are taken seriously.
KALEIDOSCOPE LABS
KALEIDOSCOPE LABS
Kaleidoscope Labs are short, focused experiences that give young people the chance to explore an interest more deeply while working toward something meaningful. A Lab might center on filmmaking, visual art, photography, zines, digital media, nature, animals, writing, design, or another interest that gives us something worth investigating together.
Labs may run for several sessions or develop around a particular project, with opportunities to learn from community artists, makers, professionals, and others who can bring real-world experience into what we are exploring.

Workshops and special experiences give us the freedom to explore something interesting without requiring a long-term commitment. Offerings may grow from art, creative media, nature, animals, science, culture, making, or simply an idea that seems too interesting not to explore.
Some are led by Kaleidoscope, while others bring in local artists, makers, educators, and community partners who have something unique to share. These experiences may be offered after school, in the evenings, on weekends, or during school breaks, making them an easy way to try something new or experience Kaleidoscope for the first time.

COMMUNITY EXPERIENCES
Some of the most meaningful opportunities to learn, create, and discover happen when we step outside of our usual spaces and into the larger community. Kaleidoscope Community Experiences connect young people with the places, people, ideas, and opportunities that already exist throughout Tucson, Southern Arizona, and beyond.
Depending on what we are exploring, we might visit an artist's studio, gallery, museum, makerspace, cultural event, conservation site, local business, university program, or somewhere completely unexpected. Whenever possible, these experiences connect back to the interests and projects developing within Kaleidoscope and give young people a chance to see where those interests can exist in the real world.

Not every young person needs the same kind of experience or support. Alongside our Studios, Labs, workshops, and community experiences, Kaleidoscope offers additional opportunities for older teens, emerging adults, and families who are looking for more individualized support.
LIFE IN BLOOM
For older teens and emerging adults who are beginning to explore what a meaningful adult life might look like for them. Life in Bloom brings together interests, independence, executive functioning, real-world responsibilities, community participation, and individualized support in ways that are connected to each person's own goals and strengths.
INDIVIDUAL TUTORING & LEARNING SUPPORT
One-to-one academic support tailored to the learner, including help with specific subjects, assignments, learning gaps, study skills, and individual educational goals.
EXECUTIVE FUNCTION & PROJECT SUPPORT
Individualized support with planning, organization, task initiation, time management, breaking larger goals into manageable steps, and moving personal, academic, or creative projects forward.
EDUCATIONAL CONSULTATION & ADVOCACY
Individualized support for families navigating educational needs, accommodations, school concerns, transitions, or questions about how to better support a neurodivergent learner.
*Individual services are available by appointment, with scheduling based on availability and the needs of each learner or family.
Making Kaleidoscope Accessible
Making Kaleidoscope Accessible
We want Kaleidoscope to be accessible to families with different circumstances, including those who do not have access to ESA funding. Our offerings vary in length, location, commitment, and cost, giving families more flexibility to choose what works for them.
Arizona ESA/ClassWallet funds may be used for eligible educational services, and we are continuing to explore additional ways to reduce financial and transportation barriers as Kaleidoscope grows.
If cost is preventing your family from participating in something that feels like a good fit, you are always welcome to reach out. While we cannot guarantee financial assistance for every offering, we would rather have a conversation than assume an opportunity is out of reach.
