Antecedent Boundaries:

Superimposed Boundaries:

Example: The colonial-era boundaries imposed by European powers without much regard for existing ethnic or cultural divisions. These boundaries may have divided or combined certain ethnic groups across different regions.

Consequent Boundaries:

Example: The administrative divisions or regional boundaries in Ghana may be considered consequent boundaries. They are influenced by demographic and cultural patterns, with regions designed to accommodate or separate different ethnic or cultural groups.
