My family, friends, and people that frequently appear on my social media. I believe that I can influence my friends, and family only. With the development of digital technologies, it makes sharing and receiving information or opinions much easier and broader, therefore will impact more people. The influences can either be negative and positive because it depends on the platform’s policies whether it eliminates disturbing content or not.
for example: twitter (X) can be a useful to search up the latest world news, or it can be full of pronographic contents.

+ positive: allows more convenient and quicker access to certain apps
+ negatives: cannot be used while wearing masks. if people rely so much on this technology, they will be more likely to forget the real password
social media influencers:
+ positive: spread awareness to a bigger population
+ negatives: they can easily share wrong information to many people because of their popularity
apps to track and monitor children:
+ positive: eliminate unwanted contents, improves using experience
+ negatives: personal information might get stolen and used for other purposes that is hidden from the user
types of power:
respect: my favorite celebrity has influenced my thinking to purchase a product that they advertised
coercive: face recognition can sometimes be active without my awareness, I’m not sure if I’m being watched by the government through a camera on the street
this power can be lessened and controlled by internet censorship and social media policies.

Reward: To increase winning percentage in games, the game creators purposely encourage players' spending behaviors to upgrade a characters or gaming equipment.
Legitimate: When reaching a site or news paper, it usually asks for cookies permission or log in information to easily collect and control users' data on those platforms.
Respect: It's very common to see famous people/celebrities/influencers advertising a product on any social media platform, since they take advantage of the admiration from other people to promote a product

the constraint of power: digital technologies also allow users to verify information to be acknowledged of the false information, internet censorship also restricts certain content so it might help reduce disturbing information.
To what extent does the use of digital technologies impact the balance of power?
the development of techonology gives us more opportunity to explore public knowledge and information. In return, every movement or action of us will be watched by other digital users, which will increase the power of several negative acts, including black mail (coercive), disinformation due to free speech policy (information),....
where and how do digital technologies have too much power?
The use of tracking apps can be convenient and fun at first, hence, it does contain many potential harms since it shows many of our personal information such as phone number, location, phone battery, work place, home,...to the followers. Nevertheless, we are mostly unaware if our information is used for bad purposes or not. Which might encourages coercive acts in general
