Children have a lot of potential, irreplaceable ideas, and beneficial thoughts but the opportunities for them to express them are very much limited. Most of the time children are the best critical thinkers to identify some problem or need and they are even better problem solvers than adults. With a little support and guidance, children would be able to express, explore, and or even educate others more creatively and effectively.

Smaller groups of children coming together to discuss different problems or needs around them can make a big difference by gaining the support of elders. Child Parliament and Children's Club were some of the programs that would be helpful for the children to learn and execute their leadership skills.

Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) is a set of methods and techniques that development practitioners use in the field to be able to collect data and information. It is fairly quick. Easy to collect any data/ information you need in a rural or tribal village. The PRA process enables you to get closer to the rural community, which makes way for you to plan – “plan in a participatory mode‟, using the data the villagers give you.

PRA is a sort of semi-structured inquiry carried out in a village, by development practitioners to acquire data and information about rural life – fairly quickly. PRA is a favorite tool with many organizations, and it has been part of planning exercises in many government programs over 2 decades now not only in India but also in many developing countries.
