A Complete Village (Concept for a Model Village)
The development of the society or the community is not just the growth of some individuals but creating a space for all in the society or the community to grow as well as utilize all the potential and resources to the maximum, making things better and better every day. A Complete Village need not have all the facilities or infrastructure in the world, but each individual in the village will be able to access the needed facilities that exist anywhere. At the same time, basic and necessary facilities such as Food, Water, Shelter, and Education should be available and accessible to all.
An Ideal village will not just be satisfied with its self-development or growth but make the best efforts to share the best practices with all others around the world for a bigger impact and positive change.
Objective:
· To have a sense of belongingness
· To be responsible and work for continuous betterment
· To build people and utilize the resources to the best
Components of the Village:
· People
· Land, housing, and public infrastructures
· Plantations and Vegetations
· Cattles and Livestock
· Water bodies, Wells, Reservoirs, and borewells
· Energy and Electricity
Village Management Committee:
Village Leaders, Officials, Ward members and representatives from each of the associations or head groups in the villages shall be part of the Village Management Committee to support the individuals or groups in carrying out their plans and making progress. It should not be a dominating group but just a supporting group for other groups.
Village Management Committee shall take the overall responsibility for the matters concerning the overall village.
Different Associations or Group Formations:
The Different associations shall meet together at different frequencies based on their availability and needs from Weekly once 1.5 hr to at least Monthly once 1.5 hr for effective discussions, planning, and implementation. The associations can have all the members who may belong to that and if there are more members it can split into two or more based on some criteria like geography or any specific thing, and there shall be a head group with some representatives from each of the groups.
Some of the associations or groups shall be as follows:
1. Farmers Association-
People who cultivate the same crops can make plans, preparations and proceedings together to negotiate the costs, better management of the crops, understanding the efficient breeds.
Landlords shall guarantee the minimal guaranteed wages to the workers and discuss effective practices.
The necessary programs or events for their recreation / personal development, as well as professional development, shall be organized together.
Common Water Management Systems can be framed.
2. Village workers association (non-farming)-
People who do any other work in the village directly under the panchayat through Government/ community organizations shall make plans, preparations and proceedings together to delegate the different works and fulfil them.
The minimum guaranteed wages to the workers, considering the Net income of the village and discuss effective practices.
The necessary programs or events for their recreation / personal development, as well as professional development, shall be organized together.
Workers’ welfare and concerns shall be regularly discussed and addressed.
3. Working men's association-
Men who do different works inside/ outside the village through a business/ freelancing or working for an organization shall share their concerns and how they could help one another to make betterments in their personal lives as well as the people around them.
The necessary programs or events for their recreation/ personal development, as well as professional development, shall be organized together.
Workers’ welfare and concerns shall be regularly discussed and addressed.
4. Working women's association-
Women who do different works inside/ outside the village through a business/ freelancing or working for an organization shall share their concerns and how they could help one another to make betterments in their personal lives as well as the people around them.
The necessary programs or events for their recreation/ personal development, as well as professional development, shall be organized together.
Workers’ welfare and concerns shall be regularly discussed and addressed.
5. Non-working men's association-
Non-working men who seek different works inside/ outside the village through a business/ freelancing or working for an organization shall share their concerns and how they could help one another to make betterments in their personal lives as well as seek suitable opportunities.
The necessary programs or events for their recreation/ personal development, as well as professional development, shall be organized together.
Network with professionals who could help in Job placements could be done.
6. Home- makers association-
Home-makers who seek self-employment opportunities to work from home through a business/ freelancing shall share their concerns and how they could help one another to make betterments in their personal life as well as seek suitable opportunities.
The necessary programs or events for their recreation/ personal development, as well as professional development, shall be organized together.
Network with professionals who could help them with job opportunities to work from home could be done.
7. Youth Club-
A group of youth of a particular village/ neighbourhood shall come together as a group for activities, and learnings, and to represent their interests and opinion to the decision makers of the village/neighbourhood.
The necessary programs or events for their recreation/ personal development, as well as professional development, shall be organized together.
They shall look at local and global problems, and come up with their solutions.
8. Children Club-
A group of children of a particular village/ neighbourhood shall come together as a group for activities, and learnings, and to represent their interests and opinion to the decision makers of the village/ neighbourhood.
The necessary programs or events for their recreation / personal development, as well as professional development, shall be organized together.
They shall look at local and global problems, and come up with their solutions.
Note: There shall be other groups for any other specific need.
