Infographic - Shapes and Texture
I went to the summer internship fair and I talked with people who were doing an internship for Philmont. I've been there before and so I decided to do an infographic for it.
I used the frame tool to create frames for each image.
I used solid fill layers and gradient fill layers on the background and text.
I used camera raw on the far right photo to help give more clarity to the image.
Contrast: I used large and small text to help give hierarchy. I also used contrasting browns with a brick texture to give depth.
Repetition: I used the same size of frames to give repetition to the whole design. I also repeated colors throughout to help keep it together.
Alignment: I aligned the text left next to the logo to help fill the space. I also aligned the frames to be the same width apart and from the margins.
Proximity: I kept everything close to each rectangular background border so as not to draw too many lines. It helped group each content to the background and separated them easier.
Color choice: I chose browns from the original logo and more "loggy" feeling tones to help grasp the forestry feel. The colors also contrasted well being a sort of split complimentary triad.
The infographic is asymmetrical.
