The #TXHSFB provides an opportunity for me to collaborate with Coaches throughout the nation. The format is one coach who is the moderator on the chat. This one impressed me because it offers forums on a wide variety of topics, one of which is Leadership. I think I will be utilizing this one quite a bit. The benefits of this particular community, along with a few other Twitter communities, is being able to hear different people’s problems that may pertain to practice, technology, scheme or even professional development. It is good to hear other people's issues, but also other people’s solutions to those issues. In any profession, growing from others people’s experiences and learning from them is key. I truly believe that this is a way I am able to not only grow in the football coaching profession, but also am able to network within the profession.

I also joined the EdSurge Higher Ed learning community, focusing on Technology in Higher Ed. I think this one will be beneficial because I do have hopes of one day being able to be in the classroom and coaching high school football. I think it is important to be able to reach out and be able to hear experiences and learn from educators across the nation what the best teaching techniques are and be able to hear and read effective ways to use technology to enhance and grow a more effective and advantageous ways to reach students in those classroom. I think this will be a great way to learn about classroom management skills, almost like our weekly discussions throughout this course. I think EdSurge Higher Ed will help me grow as an educator and a leader in these ways.
