I was born in Atlanta Georgia and spent my first year of life in Woodstock, Georgia around family. I then moved to College Station, Texas and grew up in the town as it grew up around me, spending 23 years in the college town. I spent my whole life educated in the College Station Independent School District, attending their schools from 1st to 12th Grade. I was able to take part in many organizations, including football from 7th grade to 12th grade, and participating in the many activities First Baptist Church College Station provided. Starting college, I was granted the opportunity to start my football coaching career at College Station Middle School. Within a year, I was able to coach Football, Basketball and Track at College Station Middle School, just one year out of high school. The next move would happen where I was given the opportunity to coach football only at A&M Consolidated High School, working on the defensive side of the football and also becoming the 7 on 7 Coordinator for all of levels of football. As the coordinator, we were able to qualify for the Texas State 7 on 7 Tournament 5 years, with a 3rd place finish in the State of Texas 1 year, a Consolidation Bracket Championship and a Consolidation Bracket Runner up finish in three of the 5 years. On the real football field, I was able to be a part of the continued success on the field, enjoying 5 straight appearances in the playoffs including a quarterfinal finish in the state 6A playoffs for the school I graduated from. After graduating from Western Governors University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, with a focus on Special Education, I was asked to join the staff of the Lamar Cardinals. I now how the unique opportunity to do what I love while I complete the next step in my own educational career, earning a masters degree in Educational Technology Leadership at Lamar University. Continuing my coaching career has now moved me to Beaumont Texas, coaching at Lamar University as a graduate assistant on the defensive side of the football. Education is my main priority, for myself and for my student athletes, and I thoroughly enjoy helping kids and teaching them on a daily basis.
