John 14:16-19
Jesus Did Not Leave Us as Orphans
16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever-- 17 that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. 18 "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 "After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.
Jesus never planned to abandon us and tells us that He would not leave us as orphans...So He tells us that "I will not leave you as orphans."...So God never planned to leave us or condemn us but to help us with a Savior and the Holy Spirit...And by the help of His Savior and His Holy Spirit, He plans on making the world a better place and to eventually remake it...
Bishop and author N. T. Wright writes that “God's plan is not to abandon this world, the world which He said was "very good."...Rather, He intends to remake it...And when He does He will raise all His people to new bodily life to live in it...That is the promise of the Christian gospel.”...
